This hotel is in
the Province of Napo. A bus from Quito will get you there in about 5
or 6 hours. The hotel has capacity for 146 guests in a family-style
atmosphere. The rooms are nicely decorated with materials from the
region and are for two, three or four persons. Each room has a
private bath, hot water and electricity. The restaurant serves
buffet style. The bar, conference room, swimming pool for adults and
children as well as recreation areas will provide a wonderful
experience while always respecting the ecology and the geographical
setting.
The tours you can take include hikes in
the primary and secondary forests along marked paths where you
can see different types of birds, make your own balsa raft, see
a center for rescuing animals and visit an Indian family. All
these activities are flexible and can be made any day of the
week, depending on the tourist's interest. You can arrive at the
hotel any day of the week. The programs begin with the first
night's stay.
Description of
Tours
Once you have arrived
at the hotel, you can choose the excursions you prefer every
day. A description of some of these excursions follows.
Misicocha is a hike
in the primary and secondary forests. You will see the
construction of balsa, raft around a small island, observe an
animal rescue center, and visit an Indian family. This excursion
is a hike through an area much like that of Misicocha.
La Casa del Suizo
Programs
Begin every day of
the week. You can take a 5-hour bus trip from Quito to the town
of Ahuano. There is no minimum or maximum number of days, and
the programs are very flexible.
