programs include:
· Lodging
· All meals during the tour

or bus fares to and from Quito

What you should
bring with you:
NECESSARY ITEMS:
- Valid passport
- Sandals
- 1 pair comfortable walking shoes
- 1 pair sports shoes
- Hat or cap
- Swim suit and towel
- Long lightweight pants (not jeans)
- Lightweight cotton shorts
- Windbreaker or sweater
- Long and short-sleeved T-shirts
- Rubber boots (only if your size is over 43)
- Sunglasses with strap
EQUIPMENT:
- 30-pound canvas or nylon bag
- Small backpack for daily excursions
- Flashlight
- Enough alkaline batteries
- A canteen or plastic bottle for water
- A Swiss knife or small knife
- Binoculars (10x40 recommended)
- Photo camera and video camera
- Enough film for the cameras
- Plastic bags to pack electronic equipment and clothes
- Notebook and pencil
- Sewing kit
- Snacks like chocolates or candy
MEDICINE:
- An extra pair of glasses or contacts
- Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- Biodegradable soap and shampoo
- Personal toiletries (deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste,
etc.)
- Personal first-aid kit
- Malaria pills (Lariam or Aralen)
- Medical items: aspirin, band-aids, adhesive tape,
tweezers, etc.
- Sanitary napkins or tampons (the menstrual cycle may be
affected in tropical areas)
- Any medicine prescribed by your doctor
