If you plan to visit the Galapagos Islands without the services
of a naturalist guide, you will need to
apply the following rules and regulations:
1. No animal should be perturbed nor any
plant nor rock be moved.
2. It is not allowed to transport material to or
between the islands.
3. It is prohibited to touch animals.
4. It is prohibited to feed animals.
5. It is not allowed to pursue animals –
especially to their nest or place of rest.
6. It is not allowed to bring foreign animals to
the islands.
7. Do not leave your waste on the islands.
8. It is not allowed to buy souvenirs such as
tusks of marine wolves, shells
of turtles or tortoises.
9. If you witness that someone is buying one of
the objects mentioned
above, please notify the
national park authorities.
10. It is not allowed to start a fire when
camping.
11. Don't write on the rocks and trees.
12. Don't have pain of showing your
conservationist attitude.
13. Request information from the authorities of
the national park on any
trip in Galapagos.
