PADI OPEN WATER COURSE.-

Goals:
Provide students with the basic knowledge and abilities necessary for their safety, give them experience in the diving environment and finally allow them to dive with other certified divers who have had equal or greater experience.

Requirements:
Medical certificate showing the passenger apt for diving. We can provide the format for these certificates.
Be at least 15 years old for the Open Water Course and 12 years old for the Junior Certificate
.

Certification:
At the end of the theory component, the student should get at least 75% correct on the final exam and should have completed all the sessions in limited water and diving in open water.

Included:
Complete equipment, lessons in theory, swimming pool sessions, boat trips, reference material and PADI Certificate.

Not included:
Air ticket, National Park entrance fee, transfers from and to airport, food and lodging in Puerto Ayora.

Note:
The passenger should bring a passport-size photo for the Certificate. Before beginning the course, it is advisable to check the equipment and receive all the material.


PADI ADVANCED DIVE COURSE.-

Goals:
Provide the students with a supervised introduction to diving in several submarine environments and the consequential expanding of their horizons and possibilities.

Requirements:
A certificate that shows the passenger apt for the course.
Be at least 15 years old for the Open Water Course and 12 years old for the Junior Certificate.

Certification:
5 complete dives and their corresponding exercises are required for this certification. (3 obligatory dives: night, deep and navigation; 2 optional dives: multi-level, in currents, off a boat or off land.) The study and review of each chapter is also required.

Included:
Complete equipment, theory reports, boat trips, reference material, PADI Certificate, 4 immersions in Floreana, and 1 night immersion in Academy Bay the following day. Also included are 1 dinner, 1 night at the Floreana Hotel, 1 breakfast and 1 box lunch.

Not included:
Air ticket, National Park entrance fee, transfers from and to the airport, food and lodging in Puerto Ayora.

PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE.-

Goals:
Develop the skills and knowledge needed for efficiently carrying out rescue, providing aid and managing situations caused by accidents occurring during diving, offer proper first aid and even be able to save one’s own life.

Requirements:
PADI AOW or equivalent certificate, a minimum of 20 immersions and experience in night diving, deep diving and navigation.

Certification:
At the end of the course, the student should be able to perform all the OW exercises correctly, obtain a minimum score of 75% on the final exam and also complete the CPR and first aid course.

Included:
Complete equipment, boat trips, reference material and PADI Certificate.

Not included:
Air ticket, National Park entrance fee, transfers from and to the airport, food and lodging in Puerto Ayora and first aid.


PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE.-

Goals:
Train the candidate to organize, coordinate and supervise recreational diving activities based on both land and boat and act effectively as an assistant instructor demonstrating his/her PADI open water diving instructor or more advanced techniques. The course also develops the diver’s knowledge of theory in diving up to a sufficient level of instruction in order to encourage and prepare candidates through a high level of instruction and training.

Requirements:
Be a PADI certified rescue diver or the equivalent, have completed and registered at least 20 immersions, be over 18 years of age, be in good physical condition, and pass a medical exam.

Certification:
A certificate is awarded to students who obtain at least 75% on each section of theory and pass all the practice sessions in the pool and in open water.

Included:
Complete equipment, review of theory, boat trips, pool sessions and reference material.

Not included:
Air ticket, National Park entrance fee, transfers from and to the airport, food and lodging in Puerto Ayora, and the medical certificate.

INTRODUCTION TO DIVING.-

For passengers who do not have a diving license or any kind of experience, we offer an introduction to diving.

The Introduction to Diving Program includes a basic lesson on general diving, equipment and safety. After this lesson, passengers have 2 immersions with the assistance of a diving guide in Academy Bay and in sites where the current is not strong. The program includes a basic lesson, 2 immersions, a diving guide, complete equipment, a diving launch and drinking water.
